Children's Hospital Of Philadelphia (also known as "CHOP") opened its current location in 1974, next door to the campus of the University of Pennsylvania. CHOP is closely associated with the Penn medical school and university hospital. Treating children since 1855, it's one of the oldest and largest children's hospitals in the world.
