The Kansas City Royals major league baseball team plays at Kaufmann Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri. The ballpark opened in 1973 and is part of the Truman Sports Complex that also includes Arrowhead Stadium. A $250 million renovation project was completed in 2009 to bring Kaufmann Stadium up to more modern standards, including the addition of the biggest video scoreboard in the major leagues. It was known as "Royals Stadium" for its first 20 years.
