The historic Metropolitan Opera House in Philadelphia reopened in late 2018 as a concert venue called The Met Philadelphia. A $56 million renovation restored much of the building's classic elegance while adding modern amenities for 21st century concert-goers. The theater is located at the corner of Broad Street and Poplar Street, a short walk from both the Girard and Fairmount stations on the subway's Broad Street line.
